As I was waking up this morning I was given a fresh perspective on life which involves my choice.
The perspective appeared as a vision of what I am anticipating and working towards.
I was given the perspective of seeing everything working out according to plan knowing my Abba has completely provided every detail to be worked out according to His perfect design and timing. Seeing it completely paid for and completed in a timely manner.
More importantly experiencing the emotions of peace and joy in the process.
Seeing the next thing as not a hurdle or obstacle to overcome but rather as the next step in the process with a predetermined favorable outcome.
All because He is with me and for me and shares my excitement, enthusiasm and positive anticipation of a good outcome that will lead to further adventures and greater accomplishments.
I saw this in contrast to seeing the same scenario from the perspective of facing obstacles that I must overcome to accomplish the desired outcome.
My paradigm shifted in that moment from a works based perspective on what I must do to achieve my objectives to a freed up view of it already being accomplished effortlessly, in rest where I enjoy the process and have a confident expectation of good (hope) because of the Presence and active participation of my loving Abba-Daddy. (“Abba” is what Jesus called his Father; Jewish for daddy)
I know this stuff and have believed it and taught it,
It’s another thing to see it and more importantly to feel it as my true present reality.
After I got up, I randomly opened and read an excerpt from Ron Marquardt’s book, “God’s Resting Place” on resting in His presence. (Available on Kindle and Amazon. I highly recommend it.)
In chapter 7 he says, “Moses had a cloud to follow. What are we to follow? I want to feel or experience the Presence of God.. .”We do what we want to do. We all are doing what we feel. Emotions at a deep level are determining our decisions..
This is part of the “heart error” Hebrews is talking about that keeps us from hearing and entering into rest. What I am offering is a new decision maker, based on a new feeling; feeling His Presence.
We all have an emotional guidance system. All of us, every day, find ourselves guided by our emotions. If we feel negative emotions, we respond accordingly. This in turn produces negative results.
If we are in fact connected as Jesus was to the Father by the Holy Spirit, our emotions are going to be positive as Christ’s.
Don’t you know this will change every decision you are going to make? Why is this important? You are a product of your decisions. good or bad, you are making life what it is…”Choose Life”.
That’s why in the new covenant we are told to focus on whatever is good, lovely, and of good report: think on these things.
Those thoughts produce emotions that are guiding our decisions.”(pg.52)
As I read this, I heard :
“See life not as a mountain to be climbed and endured but rather as a journey to be enjoyed”.
I thought about how I feel when I’m on a vacation or trip looking forward to the next experience or place, always looking forward to what’s next and enjoying where ever I am in the moment.
Knowing and consciously experiencing the fact that my all powerful, all knowing, ever present Abba is with me on the journey, has planned only good for me and is always with me because He loves and adores me changes everything. (Yes, “adores”. Ephesians 5:1 we’re called “well-beloved children”)
Making a decision to be conscious of His Loving Presence, I know I am safe, secure, and well provided for and as a result I can have and experience the fruit of the Holy Spirit; love, peace, and an abundance of Joy and other positive emotions.
Have you ever considered that the fruit of the Spirit has primarily to do with our emotions?
Galatians 5:22 But the fruit of the [Holy] Spirit [the work which His Presence within accomplishes] is love, joy (gladness), peace, patience (an even temper, forbearance), kindness, goodness (benevolence), faithfulness, 23 Gentleness (meekness, humility), self-control (self-restraint, continence).
Romans 8:28 “We are assured and know that [God being a partner in their labor] all things work together and are [fitting into a plan] for good to and for those who love God and are called according to [His] design and purpose.”
31 What then shall we say to [all] this? If God is for us, who [can be] against us? [Who can be our foe, if God is on our side?] 32 He who did not withhold or spare [even] His own Son but gave Him up for us all, will He not also with Him freely and graciously give us all [other] things?” AMP
Abba, Holy Spirit, Jesus; transform and renew my mind and change my heart and my emotions and remove any faulty thinking or hidden lies that keep me from seeing my life and You from Your Presence Perspective.
